Reverse Osmosis
Purity beyond what you see.

What is RO?
Reverse osmosis, or RO, is a filtration techology by forcing pressurised water through a semi-permeable membrane refined up to 0.0001 micron, in addition to several filters. Most filtration systems only work by routing water through one or more polypropylene or activated carbon filters.
RO eliminates over 98% of total dissolved solids from water and removes specific contaminants that other systems cannot, and less expensive than methods like distillation or deionisation.

Impurities sight unseen
At Kiyo®, RO membrane filters are at an ultra-fine 0.0001 micron, 1000 times smaller than the width of human hair, super close to the size of a water molecule.
It reduces dissolved impurities that cannot be seen by the eye, such as dissolved salts, heavy metals, minerals, micro-particles, and certain chemical residues that ordinary filters may not fully address.

Lighter trace, clearer glass
Reverse osmosis is the gold standard for filtered water.
- No more bottled water from markets
- Provides the clearest, ready-to-drink water for daily use
- Improves water taste by eliminating unwanted minerals, odours and aftertaste
- Supports better water for drinking, tea, coffee and cooking
How Kiyo® RO System Works
Municipal tap water is treated and monitored for everyday use, but it still contains dissolved minerals, heavy metals, residual disinfectants such as chlorine or chloramine, fine sediment, organic matter, and trace compounds picked up from the water source or household plumbing.

The PAC composite filter uses multiple layers of PP cotton and pre-carbon filtration to prepare the water before it reaches the RO membrane.
The PP cotton layers reduce fine sediment, rust, sand, and suspended particles, while the pre-carbon layers reduce chlorine, odours, and organic compounds that may affect taste.

The RO membrane provides deep purification by filtering water through an ultra-fine 0.0001 micron barrier, helping reduce dissolved solids, heavy metals, microplastics, bacteria, and other fine impurities where traditional filters cannot purify.
The post-carbon layer polishes the water by refining the taste and reducing any remaining odour, leaving a refreshing taste for the drinking water.
